Can anyone recommend me some light weight wheels?

While i love the look of my VMR wheels they weigh in at close to 20KG a corner (with tyres) and I had some OZ Ultraleggras on my old S2K and loved the improvement they offered over stock... however they have far too many spokes for the Z.

So what i am after are some lightweight staggered 19's (19x9.5/10 rears and 19x8.5 fronts) that are not multispoke and are not multi fitment (cant stand all those unused stud holes)

I have looked at forgestars but they are too pricey!

So anyone have any recommendations.. which are under £2k for a set?

Have a check of Shimmy's posts on this thread:

I think i found a UK supplier in London for some Volks... went there yesterday but the manager was out to be able to haggle a price

The Forgestars are £1620 at M Style, or did you want tyres too for £2k?

i already have decent tyres on my current wheels which have covered under 5K which i would fit to my new wheels... but those are not a bad price for what they are.. they dont specify their weight though!

ACS Type VIII Forged is £1k a corner. :(

Damn... but then anything badges ACS is ridiculously overpriced.

Are lightweight wheels really the way to go given our pot hole ridden roads and the damage they might cause especially with the lack of protection offered by the thin rubber on 19" wheels, would it increase the risk of a buckled / damaged wheel that can not be repaired safely.

I think proper forged light weight wheels would probably be a lot stronger then our VMR's. As sexy as they look I just find them too heavy as they are heavier then the oem 108's!

BMW Performance 269 may fit your £2k budget.

i am probably going to get flamed for saying this.. but as nice as they look on the E90 i dont think they would look that good on my roadster!

I have to agree... would look ace on a jap motor though.. like an S2K! Also might need spacers for them as the 9J comes in a ET43... unless maybe go for the 10J with an ET40.... would need 265 or 275 wide tyres though.

IIRC the 269's won't fit the Zed. The offset is way off.

IMO go for the F14's in black and with a red lip. They would look so sexy!
