Can anyone help me sort the DAB Radio in my car please?

Hello all, I hope you can help me..
I have a late 2010 Z4 23i SDrive with the BMW DAB Radio fitted.

The problem is this.
I can only receive a few stations.. and none of them are from the BBC!
Absolute 80s and 90s, LBC, TeamRock etc. I can get all day long.

When I go into the DAB menu, I find a title/folder called 'Pamela's Picks' (or words to that effect), and the above stations seem to be grouped inside there?

The car was bought from new by my wife and she never used the DAB feature at all so she can't help me.

Is it possible reset it or something?

Please Z4'ey Forum.. you're my only hope!

Thanks in advance.. Rors

Trying to reframe from saying RTFM, but have you?

Welcome by the way, any pictures?
hehehe.. thanks for the effort and restraint mate ;)
I have read the manual over and over trying to work this out but with no success.

I'll grab some pictures later and upload them, although there's not much to see :)

My experience with DAB Radio in cars is that they are fine when you are sat on the drive tuning the radio, but when you drive around the reception is easily lost. I went back to listening to my iPod.

Posted in wrong section (E85/86) so less likely to be seen by an E89 owner that may be able to help you.

Just to let you all know.. i can't find anywhere to mark this issue solved?

Got it sorted.. went to my local dealer and they pressed many, many buttons and fixed it for me :)

Thanks :)

DAB - the worst invention for cars and being superseded now anyway. Useless on my X5 as well, forever losing signal.Porsche not much better, just slightly easier to return and search for a next DAB station in the area where you are (seems about 2 miles before you lose that one again …).

As you say PVR, dead in the water. Streaming is the future. I'm getting old now so only listen to radio 2

Only use DAB in mine.. only VERY rarely do I lose the signal.

I'm the same - listen to DAB in mine, and apart from the frankly shocking bitrates sometimes, I very rarely lose signal.

Ok, give me a sample station and I will see how long it lasts.

I trust you drive more than 5 miles :D
