Campsite suggestion in the Lake District

Decided to go camping next week for a few days. I know the lakes very well but have only ever camped with mates in my teens and the rest of the time stayed in b & bs. Recently we've stayed in Keswick because its so dog friendly but we're looking at going a bit further south toward Grasmere/ambleside.
Anyone got any suggestions? I'm a teacher so like to get away from commercial/family sites so basic is good, but toilets must be clean!
There's just the 2 of us and the 2 dogs wanting peace and quiet, good views, walks and beer!
Cheers guys

There's a campsite next to the Brotherswater Inn - absolutely beautiful location

fisherground - eskdale - the BEST by miles - fantastic roads to get to it - dog friendly - kid friendly - its got a play area and it has car wheels that you can use as a camp fire - and they bring firewood around each day - - its a great location

The National Trust site in Langdale, really nice site, great facility's nothing around for miles except 2 really nice pubs both within 5 mins walking distance.

Had a look at this one...looks superb, except for the price: £160 for 5 nights! :o

Seen another very close by - a working farm in Chapel Stile- so going to try there I think at half the price :)

Ouch, didn't realise it was that much, I normally only stay there one or two nights at a time.
