Big thanks to Mike for travelling to work on so many zeds today.
Also big thanks to James for the use of his gaff and hosting the day. Lots of good looking zeds and good to meet all you guys.👍👍

I second that.

Thanks Mike for squeezing me in and saving my motor from certain failure after finding it swimming in a case of water, and thanks to James for being the host with the most!

Lovely house and I think we all had some garage envy going on!

Cheers

+1

Great to meet up with forum members. Thanks to James for venue and organisation and to Mike for moving my motor before certain death - was the worst of the day when I left

Agreed with all of the above. It was a great meet.

Mike's roof motor moving service certainly comes highly recommend, mine like others were swimming.

Nice to see so many Zed's in one place (that wasn't duxford). Hope you're neighbors didn't mind James.

Thanks again for organising.

 Yep, a big thumbs up to Mike and James for organising and masterminding such a brilliant meet. It was great meeting so many fellow forum members and their lovely Zeds :D
Mike was certainly brave taking on such a huge challenge. Not only for relocating so many roof motors but also squeezing in time to swap my back box with one of his modded boxes. I had a big grin for the entire 2 hour journey home :driving:

Hi All,

A great day and thanks to Mike for coming down and sorting out all our roof motors. In total, Mike did 13 roof motors (2 of which were dead) and one exhaust swap (this sounded amazing - top decision Davros, very envious). To top things off, Mike decided to do another on the way home, so 14 in one day - got to be a world record !!

It was great to meet everyone and see some other great Zs (especially Jingle's and John-Z4's).

The leather dye I used on some of your seats was from www.dynamixdyes.com - Schwarz black.

I'll post some pics later

Cheers, James

Did Nathan's dead roof motor come back to life? I left just before his went in.

Mine sounds so much stronger now and doesn't hesitate at all when opening. Dunno if that's a result of not being half submerged in water or the fluid top ups Mike did but I'm really glad I got it done.

Was great to meet you guys. Thanks to James for hosting the day, & Mike for being cramped inside the boots of Zed's all day. Was great to see all the Zed's lined up outside.
Cheers, John.

James, thanks for the link to the leather dye and for touching in my seat bolster. The dye worked a treat

I really enjoyed the day and was well impressed with Mike's work, delighted to have my motor moved, cheers Mike.

Thanks also to Rusty for kicking this off, James for hosting and providing the bacon butties and drinks and Scooba Steve for checking for faults on my reversing sensors and for setting my rear lights to full circle.

Great to meet the rest of the guys, to talk through modifications carried out and to see the other cars close up. Generally impressed with condition of the cars, particularly John-z4's orange diy paint-job and subtle/tasteful mods. Hope you do decide to keep the car long term and push ahead with the V8, it would be a shame not to.

I left deciding that I needed at least another 3 or 4 Z4's to modify in various different themes and a much bigger garage

Dave

Lol @ the pics..

Just arrived home (2330) and my achy bones are in full payback mode lol.. Thank God for heated seats on the 200 mile journey back.

Took the scenic route via Nottingham way, along a long and climbing road, the name of which escapes me. Have a few pics from the day which I'll post tomorrow, but for now just the one, highlighting my newly coded donut rear lights 😁

Was a cracking day! Many thanks to Rusky and James for the organisation and hosting!

I for one, am off to bed now!!

Yup, needed a bit of work but all good and working fine. Enough oil and no water tends to make them a bit quicker lol..

Thanks from me too to Mike and James. No more worries about my roof motor. Even though it looked perfect after 6 years. But you never know......

Thanks mike for doing the motor (hope you enjoy the free microfibre cloth   ) and thanks to James for hosting, good day had by all and nice to spend half a day talking Zs and now I feel the need to do more mods :fuelfire:
