Camber

Does anyone know if it is possible to put more negative camber to the front wheels on a 3.0 i ??
After doing another trackday at Blyton park last week I am now finding that I'm pushing the front around corners and I'm thinking more camber on the fronts might help it turn in better.

Cheers JJ

Yes add washers to the bottom strut bolts between the strut and hub. See this link for info

I did this on my E36 worked a treat.

Chees Gaz but I'm not sure you can do it this way on a E85 :|

You can snap the top mount location nub off & then re position the struts with more camber as the holes Are elongated. I have done it on nearly every e46 I've had.

Here is a link showing E85 suspension with the washers fitted. So you can see how it works. This works on all E36, 46 models which the Z3 and Z4 were designed from.

Oh so thats where they go, thanks for that. I'll be adjusting at the top to start with and then see how it goes.
So tempted to spend some serious cash on kw coilovers and some K sport big brakes the make it even better on track.
Might go down the big brake mod first with camber adjusted and then see how it is on track before sorting suspension :driving:

I've managed to set camber to the max negative camber that the standard shock top mount adjustment allows.
Took it for a quick spin round the block and all feels ok. Will get out tomorrow for a drive and see how it feels on some nice twisty roads.

That's no e85 suspension, and that doesnt work on a regular z4 (or e46 for that matter).
It works on a z4m though (which has an altered e36 suspension in the front)

The only way to change camber on the front is by removing the set screw on the top shock mounts or to use camberplates.

Yes I thought mine was different to that picture so did it the top mount way by removing the locating pin and moving the top mount in as much as the slots would allow.
