camber pins./spacer and tyre query

hi all, booked on wednesday for the fitting of the pss's ,have gone 265/40/18 and 235/45/18, people have said no rubbing issues on stock wheels and suspension, query is can i also get away with the h and r trak hubcentric 10 mm spacers and bolts still with no rubbing/. as if so i will fit these before the alignment. I undid my camber pins to check they were not siezed prior to the alignment, they seem to be very soft alloy with almost not a proper thread on them, and very short too as if they werent really doing very much, is this normal, any experience of this or suggestions welcomed.... one last thing if i went for f and r 25mm lowering springs, would they inprove the ride as people sat the front s are too soft and the rears too hard on the stock m springs, thought a stopgap till i can get kw3 in place/?sorry for such a long query but really want to get it sorted , thanks all :driving:

Is that the size for a larger tyre wall, with an overall slight increase in the circumference?

I'm looking for a pic of a car with PSS in the larger wall as I am thinking about them too.

No problems. PSSs have stiffer sidewalls than the Contis so make the ride a bit stiffer, which is no problem because I've got adjustable suspension. They're quieter than Contis. My car handles superbly with Contis and PSSs.

EDIT.Just to add: I don't see any advantage in increasing tyre diameter, I only really wanted to go wider and went with what was available. Next set of tyres I'll revert to OEM profiles since I understand these are now available in PSS.

how did that get hijacked, was hoping for some info on spacers and springs and suddenly its tyre sidewall heights !!! ??? :poke:
 
I run 265/35x18 Hankook rs-3 with a 10mm spacer on the rear and 245/40x18 up front (no spacers) on OEM wheels for the track with no rubbing.

Taken great interest in your other thread about it being like a new car after the new tyres and spacers.

Would be great to see some pics as I could be interested in the exact same setup if it looks good.

Sounds good. Funny you should say that. I think I am going to try to come down next weekend, but have to bring the Girlfriends Citroën C2 as I have some dump runs and maintenance to do on my house.

Cant see the C2 doing the coastal roads justice to be honest :(
 
maybe not , where is yr place? yr welcome to have a look at mine anyway I am near Hamburger hill and 20 mins from either newquay or st austell :thumbsup:

Sorry, missed this! The house is down in Truro! Was down last weekend, but was flat out sorting stuff out.

Would have been great to catch up as I am especially interested in your new tyres now that I have realised my tyres are getting very low.
