Callipers painted.

They look great in that colour on your black car.

Seeing as it looks like you have plenty of paint left how about doing the struts behind the kidneys to match? Or maybe the struts under the bonnet?

Any idea if the struts can be removed through the kidney grill openings? Or does the bumper have to come off?
I want to paint mine in the nice sunny weather over the next couple of days.

Cool colour
I like that little trolley seat. Perfect for jobs like that. Where is it from?

Yeah , it's really useful for a bunch of stuff including cleaning the wheels and polishing etc. I bought it off Amazon uk . They had a few on there but I chose this as it was simple , well built and wasn't the most expensive. You can get one with an adjustable hydraulic seat height too.

Sorry, I don't know but I would have thought it should be possible.

I only mentioned it because my current car came with the callipers and the struts already painted red! And I really like how it looks. :D

No worries. I will find out tomorrow I suppose 😋
I think I will go for red. I can always paint over in black if I don't like it.
Anything will be better than the flakey finish that is on them!

Good job and I like the decals, not seen them before

Thanks  The decals were from a company on eBay . You tell them what logo and colour you want . I went for E86 just for something different as most people seem to go for the generic BMW or Z4 ones.

After great inner debate I chose this colour. Very pleased with the result with the E-TECH PAINT KIT.Calliper 1.pngCalliper 2.pngCalliper 3.pngCalliper 4.png
Terrific finish on the calipers! How many coats did you put on?

Thanks  A total of three coats with 30min of drying time in between each one. As well as the supplied brush I also purchased off Ebay a cheap set (2.89) of small artists brushes for the tighter spots. I think the trick is to only put a thin coat on each time.
