I agree with others that having fake Brembo covers is a no go, it's a bit like putting a loud exhaust on a 1.0 Corsa to make it sound fast... The covers may look like Brembo's and the Corsa may sound fast... but they're not! :thumbsdown: lol

but fitting aero kits, de-ambering front lights ,adding carbon int trim , fitting quad rears & all the other mods we see on a regular basis are all super cool :roll:
its each to their own , personally i wouldn't spend a penny on any mod designed to make my car look newer but many do & are happy to do it :wink:
we're talking caliper covers , not fitting M badges on 2.0's :cry:
 
fitting bremo's brake caliper covers on a car that doesn't have brembo's is worse than adding exterior mods like jonny's.

fitting caliper covers that are pain is fine.

These def look better then just painted calipers but i'd be weary of the heat dissipation.

If you dont track your car i dont see the point of a BBK kit - the added unsprung weight of them would negate the braking benefit.

If you want it to look cool.. Then these covers are more then enough.

What vehicle you looking at?

When I tried it throws up nothing for a 3.0si in coupe or roadster format....
 
its a definate no no putting ones with brembo on them.

its just the same as a stubby :fuelfire: :poke:

i dont see how the ali ones would hinder cooling much. other than maybe not allowing air flow into the middle of the caliper but these things only clip onto the outide of the caliper dont they?

im just not convinced by the whole style change. from the sort of U shape of the caliper you see to the whole solid look like a brembo style caliper IFYSWIM

Def go for yellow rather than red :thumbsup:

Or blue seeing as all future m's will have blue calipers. Except carbon ones which will be yellow :thumbsup:
 
I've gone for black, now planning on silver for my red car. Not convinced yellow is a good option, Stuart, unless you really want to be in a "rhubarb and custard" car....

I painted mine red first of all, then realised just how difficult it was keeping them clean, so went for silver.

Changed my mind, Blue calipers with said silver BMW logo's, First one done just waiting for the paint to dry before sticking on the logo.... Day off tomorrow painting the others. Will update pics when finished! :)
 
What about best colour for a silver grey car??

I'm thinking red,black or maybe bronze?? Really wanna do mine next weekend...
 
Mines Sterling grey... Thought I'd match the blue in the BMW hub badge :)

Take wheels off as pain in the arse to do otherwise....possible but tricky :wink:

Took wheel off to do this and used a very small paint brush (5mm), I'm happy with the result... It could of gone horribly wrong and didn't! Lol
