I'm hoping to give my brake callipers a bit of a refresh as they're not in great condition.

Obviously with the orange colour of the car, I'm not really sure a colour would work.. so thoughts?? I'm assuming they were silver from stock?

+1 Blue for me. Same reason as Felix, looks more OEM.

FYI I’ll (someone) will be fitting a set of Blue M135i M Sport 4 pots to my VO car some time soon.

Very difficult to have a bright colour with orange without making it look garish, standard BMW M Sport blue will work as will silver, grey or anthracite. I voted anthracite since they aren't M Sport brakes so why imitate them and the dark grey shade that is antracite will go nicely with the orange and keep it low key since well they aren't big brakes! You could do silver but that's just boring! Or how about antracite for the main caliper and the anti rattle clip (or whatever it is) in M Sport Blue? Did mine in grey and red (same calipers like yours).

Mine is VO.
I painted the callipers black and the disc hubs silver.
I fitted new silver spring clips to the black callipers. Painting them the same colour as the calliper always looks to me like someone slapped paint over the whole lot without dismantling anything.

Thanks all so far, definitely thinking subtle is the way to go, they really aren't big or good looking... short of doing the M135i brake replacements of course :happyclap:

Are the spring clips easy to remove/refit or does the whole thing need to come apart?

Dead easy. Just pop off and on

I had my side indicators and boot emblem painted red. And I’ve matched with the calliper. Wifey likes it.

I did my E89 in silver which (in my opinion) worked well, then I did my RCZ in orange... initially I liked it and then I kinda regretted it as I thought it looked a bit neddy and should of done them silver. My G29 has blue callipers and they strangely seem to suit the car brakes.jpg

Did the van in yellow which I think worked well against the grey..

I think I'll be searching out some silver/anthracite options

Blue callipers stand out nicely on Valencia Orange cars.

I do totally agree, I think I'd just want some bigger/nicer looking callipers if I wanted to highlight em..

Yeah the OE Callipers are a little bit wimpy looking on these cars.

Agree, best painted black so they look clean but there is no point drawing the eye to them.

Someone on here did a replacement with 240i or 135i callipers, they look really good in the blue. Not brave enough to attempt myself!
