Calling all 35iS drivers. What's your overall mpg?

I don't have one but I'm a bit surprised how thirsty these seem to be, given that the official combined figure is 31mpg!

The official combined figure for my M is 23.3mpg, but my OBC is showing 26.4. :?

No matter how hard i tried i never broke through 35mpg on either manual 35i or the 35is ( that's decent long Mway runs at 72-75mph) for majority of my ownership i found both hovered around 22-24mpg which isn't far off the ZMs which were generally 20mpg ( though ive yet to break 30mpg on any ZM on any drive no matter how careful :cry: )

So it looks like the M may have been in Tax Band M because BMW hadn't quite got the hang of getting more favourable CO2 ratings in the mid 2000s, but by 2010 they had. :lol:

My M has Sat Nav so I could look at mpg for Journey 1 and Journey 2, etc. but I don't really want to know!
 
Having owned mine for a couple months now as a daily driver it's settled at 21mpg. I mainly do trips under 10 miles and pretty much always in sport mode.
 
Surely if you buy a 35is, then you aren’t overly concerned with mpg and it’s all about enjoyment of the car.
 
Very thirsty beast, low 20’s normally for me but in the current climate with quiet roads probably a lot lower as I find the BMW lane on the M4 is a lot quieter and I can really push her :thumbsup:

You're right, of course. I asked only because I use mine often, rarely for long journeys, thrash it where I can and was curious to see if my 24.6 was 'normal'.
 
My stage 1 35i running 385 BHP on a DCT averages 20 - 22 around town (i do squirt off the odd traffic light), over 30 on a run.
 
Overall I get 30 (ish) but i didn't buy it for the economy.
I would say that 25/30 mpg is excellent - In the 70's I had a 3.0l Capri with 124Bhp and was lucky to get 20mpg
compare that to the 3.0l (35is) with its 340Bhp and 30mpg - its almost an eco car!
 
I cant understand how anyone is even close to 30mpg. You must be driving in a very economic manner. I was lucky to see 20mpg lol
 
My 30 (ish) was based on a run to Sw Germany and Italy last summer.
Steady drive through the Netherlands and a good use of the Autobahn! (100/140 mph) Mixed use at the destination plus a trip over the Splügen to Lombardy - Then the same Route home!
Mixed petrol used. Ie standard and super.

Update:- I've just checked and the idrive says 31.3
