Calling all 2.0 owners-

1500 rpm? Is it a diesel?

3000-4000 rpm for normal driving, surely?

Too low revs damage the engine more than too high, as long as it's warmed up thoroughly.

Used to plod around in mine but now shell have moved into town v-power all the way, after a few tanks can feel a diffrence, foot down 4 to 5 for me, do live in the country side so it has a blast every night on way home, damm road is 4 miles long mostley after an S bend stright with open feilds either side heaven. :driving:

I occasionally may come close to cough, double the speed limit in mine on a straight, open, see for mile dual carriageway near me just to give it a blast ;)

What fuel you putting in it anyway?
97 RON but i change up at 1500 rpm-is this bad?

Andy, it's hardly ticking over at 1500.

But as said above, it aint a diesel. Granted the ///M revs higher hence no hydraulic tappets and the red lines higher up. Just drive it a bit harder, no need to thrash but it needs to be driven. :driving:

Get yourself along to a meet, you'll have to keep up then.

Serious question: did you learn to drive in a diesel?

A good guide for "normal" driving is to change around the max torque rpm, or about half the max rpm.
