Calling all '05 owners with star spoke 108 wheels!

This might seem a stupid question, but on an 05 roadster with 108 star spoke wheels, is the outermost part of the rim supposed to be laquered aluminium, or painted silver like the rest of the wheel??
 
should be lacquer. i wouldnt worry as it will bubble and peel off eventually anyway. i had a set, and although they look great, they are more trouble then they are worth...

They def are not painted on my 57 reg one. I have a slight section on my rear wheel where the lacquer is lifting - rang the dealer and they said if its uncurbed then they "may" replace it under the warrenty.

No - they did however switch the inner part of the rim from a polished and lacquered finish to a cream plastic type paint, to reduce corrosion.
