Calipers painted

With the nice weather I have painted my calipers with Halfords caliper paint and Wheel hub with smooth black hammerite.
All of my inner wheels are corroded so I have just done a quick rub down and spray till I sort them out better next spring. Took about 2.5 hrs per caliper/wheel so quite labour intensive.

Be interested how your hammerite holds up - my calipers are fine in hammerite silver, but after about 3 months my front hubs have started to bubble / yellow with the heat (I guess) in the groove right next to the face of the disc. A little vexing, might need to cough up for some proper caliper paint next spring :x

I know what you mean about it taking a while - especially of you are to let it all dry properly. I actually had to use one of those beach tent things next to my car as it started raining :lol:
 
Dont have to loose the polished rim :poke: Bing's motor had them refurbed before he bought it.

They were indeed. And at some point I'll stump up the cash to have them refurbed again, OEM style which is still cheaper than brand new wheels. Shall do this at some point after I have my 224s on :wink:
 
Not technically bought them yet, but Mr hutch is keeping them safe for me 8)

Lucky you, once I have my inspection 2 out the way I need to sort my wheels out wouldn't mind a set of 224s but might look at something different.

Lucky yes. Just need a job and some money to pay for them... Think they (and the two new rear tyres I need) will have to be labelled as my Christmas present :lol:
 
Very nice indeed. Mine have been red hamemerite for a while not issues, and come up bring and red after a jet wash!

Looks like the outer diamond cut on your 108's have already been refurbed :?

But i love 108's too and wide gapped sp show off your calipers which is a bonus!

Are yours silver Jan ? Mine will be annoying me soon... Maybe two coats weren't enough.
