Caliper Paint

I could do with some new disks and pads soon so was thinking of a full caliper refurb at the same time.

I'm liking the thought of painting them orange.

What does anyone else think? I know most people try to de-ginger the front but I think that a silver zed can look quite plain without it, I thought to make a feature of the orange maybe and sort of carry it on as a theme?

Ive bought metallic carbon for mine as I like the stealthy look.
However go for it. Tomscotts look great in orange I am sure he wont mind.

Orange really works with a silver car, Tom's Zed is a great example.

I will be doing mine in red, as it's a Sapphire Black Z4 with red leather.

Hi,

If your going to do a full refurb (Calipers off, pistons out etc), google "electrolosis rust removal" - V easy and safe to do, my calipers and carriers looked like brand new castings afterwards, already for paint and re assembley .

Orange has to be done at some point now, they look awesome. I've always thought that if I was going to paint calipers then i'd do them red but they won't suit my silver car when there's orange indicators etc, better to have one stand out colour theme.

Thanks for the advice stu, if I can manage to follow the process better than I did with my front suspension then it should look great
