To be honest mate, I wouldnt bother.
I know thats probably not what you want to hear but just imagine youre doing 70 and the thing comes off.
Best thing you can do, is spray/paint the caliper. That way youll get exactly what you want. Or theres companies specialising in doing just that if you dont want to do it.
My fronts where silver when I got the car, but the backs were black, so I spent a day painting my callipers and brake disc centres silver, and the car looked like new. Heres a pic (brakes look rusty but it had just been washed)

Some models come with alloy front calipers. I was going to paint them but found that they polished up quite well with a soft wire brush in a dremmel. I have also polished the hub part of the front disks to an (almost) mirror finish. I will post a photo later if interested.

They were easy to fit , they clean up easy once used & they came in "BMW" blue which is what i wanted .Plus to me they look a better shape than the bog standard caliper 8)
