Didit....didit....didit.....

SoCalZ's responding to this alert, NEWS COVERAGE TO FOLLOW !!!!!!!!!!!!

SoCalZ's has become aware of a rogue Indiana Z on California turf. SoCalZ's are in alert mode and massing forces to meet head on this rogue Z invasion. :!: :driving: :driving:

Pictures with real links to follow.  :driving: :fuelfire: :poke: :tumbleweed:

Ah yes we are here and beware. The invasion will start in 3 hrs. Glad you will be able to post pictures because I sure can't.

Not to worry they let me in several times. If they let me in they will let anyone in.

I don't know, we are pretty fussy about who we let in! If you are fun, we let you in! So you MUST be fun!

The invasion went well. Met Luka (ZETA TRE) and his wife. Had a great time. Jo Anna was there as was Rick & Kathy and Bob & Robin. Bob took us on nice twistes. We also did the road that at 55mph it plays the William tell over ture. That was different. Bob will be posting some pictures. I still can't post pics. Not sure what is going on with photobucket.

What a day. Four of the SoCalZ's responded to the alert. We met up and came up with a plan as to what needed to happen.

Our shortcut was working fine until an unexpected rock jumped out in front of me and caught me in the drivers rear tire sidewall. With no runflats on the car, we all ended up on the side of the road. Zeta Tre started formulating a fix for the problem. It was decided to take a spare from one of 2 Z3's and replace my now very flat tire. The Z3's actually have a spare with a 15" rim. The tire was replaced and we headed off to meet the threat of the rogue Z from Indiana. Ten feet into our travels it was noticed that the 15" inch rim was not going to work as it was rubbing on the break calipers. Keep in mind this was on a Sunday where all tire shops were closed. We got back off the road and went to plan " B ".

Story will continue after I get his tire off the Z and am prepared for his arrival this AM.

At this point we sent CoolZ4 ahead to scout the area where the rogue Z was to be.

Plan " B " was hatched by the master tech. Lets put credit where credit is due ( Luca, ZETA TRE ) came up with this. Place the 15" spare on his car and put his 16" rim and tire on my Z, giving me 1/2 inch clearence from the brake caliper. Voombah. Worked wonderfully. This did take two Z3's to make this happen. Jokuhl ( JoAnna ) supplied the second jack to make the process quicker and easier. It was decided by the master tech, that DTC should be turned off as not to create an issue. With plan "b" in force we shifted things around in the three trunks and we headed on to meet the rouge Z from Indiana.

Back on the road the remainder of the SoCalZ's made our way to Blackbird Air Park where CoolZ4 found the rogue Z from Indiana. TimScuba is who we found.

We took some photo's with the planes .

Lancaster had the musical road on one of their streets for a Honda event and it made soo much noise that they needed to repave that street due to the noise created. The city got soo many calls about the road being gone, they ended up moving the musical road to a place where the noise would not be an issue, so we went to drive the new road.

Twisties were the order for the remainder of the day. We headed for the beach and some sunset pics. The three Z's that still had all their correct wheels lead us through the twisties and ZEDA TRE and I followed at a much slower pace. Upon reaching Pacific Coast Hwy we went north a bit to get to where we would be taking the Pics.

KUDO'S GO OUT FROM A VERY THANKFUL IMZ4N TO ZETA TRE (MASTER TECH) AND JOKUHL ( I'LL HAUL ANYTHING )

The day was salvaged and was not lost.

Robyn will be going shopping this afternoon. Are any Z3's available to escort her there and back?

:( Sounds like I missed out on an adventure! Sorry Bob for the last minute bail out! Great pics especially of the sunset! WOW! :o

It was a very great day... What IMZ4N forgot to mention is that the day before and last weekend he was the only one who showed up at my place to help me put the Z3 back together after a serious butt surgery and suspension rebuilt.

Right hand twisties were fun... eheheheh

I'll post my pix later tonight...

PS: just fyi, on the donut it says max speed 50mph but it's off of at least 30mph... :driving:

Great pics Bob and anytime you need folks to make a run happen, call me, even at 5am, I like those calls! You and Robyn put together the most fun runs and magic just seems to happen. Anyone not making the runs, you are missing out. My trunk is your trunk, isn't that how it goes? I am still thinking a bout all that chocolate I was hauling for Vicky! Guess I am going to have to pack my trunk like I did for Homecoming! We almost got to use that luggage rack! Great cars, greater people!

I remember oh so long ago about this Indiana car having some wierd colored grills.
