Seeing that video really doesn't help foster any feelings of sympathy towards them. Swarms of young, able bodied men behaving in an aggressive manner is hardly the image of poor, needy, helpless souls that the bleeding hearts would have us believe. That said, I would imagine the truth lies somewhere in the middle of the two as i doubt many mothers with young kids would be prowling the roads so it's a biased perspective for sure. Good to see some balance for a change though!
The thing that gets me is that, if throughout history people had just run away from a problem instead of digging in and standing up for themselves, the world would be a bleak, tyrannous cesspit. Easier said than done and I know I'm glossing over some huge points here, but the world wasn't built on handouts.
Whatever the case, I don't particularly want those in the video coming to the uk, we've got enough of that kind of person already! I also feel sorry for anyone who lives anywhere close to the camp as I'll bet the crime rate has gone through the roof-much like when the gippos come to town.

They cant do any of that as they dont know who they are, where they are from, where they stay and they more than likely have no money so taking them to court just costs the country more money.Taz said:

Maybe the interweb could spread a rumour that they are all zombies and maybe then they can be erradicated.
On a serious note though, what if any of them had some sort of disease that has not made it to this country, like rabies, where are the checks to stop this?
Realistically, all we can do is keep them from coming here as best we can and hope they get the message and go back wherever they're from.
At the end of the day we clearly won't let them in or they'd be here. We can't send them back to their own country as no doubt they have no identification or passport. We can't clear the camp as there would need to be somewhere to send them.
I suppose we have to play the long game and hope they crack first. Can't see that happening so it's as you were I suppose.

Just meant those at Calais. AFAIK, those at Calais are being repelled. I'm sure some get in but I thought generally the swarms were being kept at bay.
Those being housed/let in are surely the "quota" the government agreed to from Syria?
Either way, it's a mess that's not going away anytime soon.

Shocking the number of children and women marching down that road. About 2 years ago, we were going back to the UK for a funeral. This was about 8 to 10 months before all this blew up in the papers. Calais was grid locked because euro tunnel train had broken down. And on this particular occasion we were taking a ferry. I had guys trying to get in the back of my pick up. And my father in law actually had a guy get in the back of his car, which my son was in. He could not get the central locking on quick enough as he had only just bought the car, and did not know were the button was. When we complained to the French police they could not give a toss. I then let rip when we got to the English customs people.
Time for a bit of pragmatism here. Schengen has recently been suspended by the Germans after Merkel initiated the mass influx, so it's clear that the EU regulations are not set in stone. There's a problem and it needs fixing now and if the politicians who set this up can't act, then who the hell can?
Is there any crossing that exists that does not destroy your car though? I used to take the Hovercraft as the cars were safe in there, but the ferries give me nightmares with the coach people on them that put all their duty free on your car or scrape their size 30 arse over the side of my car

I use the Dfds from the Tyne and although I get a wide space it's always beside a door to the car deck - far arses with suitcases and motorbikers carting their bash hats past the car still worry me - the bottom line is people generally don't give a stuff.
Its scary really because I don't think our governments know what to do about it. God only knows the final outcome of mass influx of all sorts of individuals from all over the place! This in my opinion will mostly affect the next generation of BRITISH like my grandson and so on, if this don't get dealt with by repatriation and they end up here they will over just a couple of generations, out breed us, and build a mosque on every corner of OUR land. Make a noise everyone and let your MP know how unhappy you are, or get Nigel Farage in Parliament before its too late. :!:
