Opened yesterday. Not too far from me, so I will make my way down there in the next few weeks.
Let us know the date you’re gunna venture out there!

Get a post on here see if we can’t get an impromptu meet sorted

Sounds like a good idea - I'd be up for that too.

I'm also not too far away and am planning to head over and check it out Saturday evening.

If anyone's free and wants to make it more of a thing maybe we could throw something together.

I visited on the Sunday opening day at the weekend. The building is good and it has lots of potential, but compared to the midlands one, it feels like a tiny venue.

Ye plenty of great driving but if you want to go for a meet its hours in every direction.

Thankfully this year ZFest is in Wigan so only like 25 miles from me!

Tom Caffeine & Machine bought a pub near Carsington Reservoir in the Peak District to turn into a C&M but the locals were up in arms and they didn’t get planning.

More detail here https://caffeineandmachine.com/cultofmachine/origin-stories/what-could-have-been-the-knockerdown-inn/

I would pop down to the Petrsfield one, fair old distance but it is on the 272 which is a very nice road

What’s the deal at C&M? The website wasn’t working very well when I looked, but it seemed as though you had to buy tickets just to turn up. Can you not just rock up for a coffee?

Tickets at the weekend and Wednesday evening but outside that free (not sure if you still need free tickets)

Weekends 9am to 4pm are ticketed, iirc it's £5 in advance, and you get some (I think 50% of the ticket value) off of your first drink.

Every Wednesday evening they do theme nights (also ticketed) one of which is German cars.

They also do occasionally have ad hoc events, which are also ticketer, so it's worth double checking the site before you go.

Anything outside of that is not ticketed, so acts as a normal pub.

Oh, and the tickets are per car, not per person.

Literally no venues in the north past Birmingham.

The Motorist near Leeds? I haven't been yet as I was all set to go last year then my dog was ill :(

Also it's not a pub, but The Great British Car Journey slightly north of Derby does car meets, welcomes clubs, and has a cafe. I think some of their meets don't require you to buy a ticket to go round the museum (but you should if you've never done it).

Going to visit the Bowl (Millbrook, Bedford) tomorrow. A caffeine & machine virgin, so looking to see what’s going on. Needed an excuse to get the Z4 out and go someplace. I know they have theme nights during the week too; an opportunity to bring the CLS along to a Deutsch meet in the future.

Sorry (not sorry) to piggyback this thread to showcase today’s visit to The Bowl, between Bedford and Ampthill (more accurately on the B530 nr Houghton Conquest and Millbrook). Enjoyed a great coffee with some lovely cars, vans and bikes. A couple of clubs arrived en-masse too. We flew the flag for Z4 Forum members (the only Z4 there today). A few pics attached… enjoy. I went to Caffeine and Machine yesterday at the Hut.

Spotted - A Z3, a Maclaren and not much else... pretty much dead inside and out. Staff blamed lots of other things going on locally and the weather being a bit iffy... but Loomies was seemingly rammed judging by the mass of bikers outside and the amount of bikers on the roads nearby

There's a BMW night again on Monday at the Hut, I'm going to head down with a mate in his M2

That sounds interesting - I may well see you there.

same gig at The Bowl too… hmm 🤔

I understand C&M plan the same theme nights the same across all 3 sites to make it easier to plan and reduce multiple marketing etc.

It doesn't make it easier to plan going to the same themed night at different locations!

It wouldn't cross my mind to do it the way they do it... not least as I'd guess there are some people who maybe live half way between two and might go to both each month if their favoured night was on different dates. But then again one can only assume C and M know their business better than I do, and I've never run any sort of leisure venue, let alone a pub or restaurant, let alone a car-focussed one.
