This is perfect for Any merlot owners
Although it will also make a nice colour combination for other car too
This is from the premium range not the lower priced range , burgundy in colour
Paint protection magnetic sides and back
Velcro strapping for under the wing mirrors
It’s just under a year old , in fantastic condition
Paid just under £170 for this quality peace of kit

Hello mate,

Just bought my Z4 last week, so very new to ownership!

I’m living in the the very wet West Coast of Scotland (Rhu); please can you tell me how much protection this gives the car as I’m really concerned that mines going to be wet for 6 months of the year. Plus, is it quite quick and easy to remove as I’ll use the car daily? Can I put it on a wet car?

I’ve already removed my drain plugs just incase and I’ll be looking for a forum members support for a hood motor re-location to the boot ASAP.

Good that you removed drain plugs, but any water already in the more case jus sits there normally as the drain on that blocks also
Definitely get the moter moved by someone here asap for peace of mind ...
in honesty.... I would never put the cover on a wet roof... i would cover mine at home . And again at work. If it’s raining on the way to or from work, I would leave it off until the roof dried again then start the process again... it’s easier to use than you think ... I’d normally fold it in half on the roof , then quarter it then just put in my boot.

As an afterthought, with the amount of rain you will be dealing with, have you considered a hard top for the winter months? There is one for sale on here, they normally make good resale money if they are cared for.... might be the better option for you 👍

Thanks for your quick reply. For £80 including postage, I’m in. I never really wanted a hard top as they are so expensive (and I’m skint having just bought a car, Tax and insurance this month...)

Unless you think that even a Premium Cabrio Shield won’t cut it in Rhu I’m happy to settle on £80. Thanks for your honesty and quick responses.

Glad you had it .... looks stunning on that colour car , the car is a cracking colour, hope you enjoy the e85 as much as I did :driving: :thumbsup:
