Cabling from head unit to glove box ...

Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I can't find the exact answer by searching.

I'm about to purchase an XCarLink iPod solution and want to run it into the glove box. I've finally managed to find a YouTube video showing how to remove the centre vents and access the radio (not done it yet but know I know how to), but does anyone know if it's relatively easy to run the cable from the rear of the head unit into the glove box? Are there existing holes or will a bit of fiddling be necessary?

Any help would be great. Thanks

Really really easy :)

not even worth a how too...

honestly once you are there it is pretty obvious how to get there, removing the glovebox itself is just a case of removing the piston and about 6 screws...

I taped a few straws together and taped the canes to them- then poked them through- easy done!

As Gannet said really easy no need for straws, and depending how big the cable is you will find holes in the glovebox for feeding the cables through IIRC.
