Cabin retrim - is plastic to leather possible?

Probably just day dreaming here! I love the simpleness of my '03 cabin after coming to it from a 2012 6 series, however I've been thinking of possibly retrimming some of the interior plastics - mainly (non sat-nav) dash and door cards. Is this even advisable/doable? Obviously the plastic is functional/durable for exposure to the elements but leather/faux-leather would be much nicer to the touch. So does anyone know if it's possible, and if it is, are there kits available or would it be cheaper to find materials and find a specialist to do something ad-hoc?

Anything is possible bud. It's down to budget. I'm sure extended leather option as dash and other bits, but others will know 100% what was optional.

There are companies that can cover anything in alcantara.

I would like the A pillars done as they feel real cheap.

As said above BMW did an extended leather option door cards centre consul right up to top of seats a pillars and sun visors were full leather don't know if you can buy these from BMW then fit yourself but it may be cheaper to use a good trimmer with OEM prices.

I imagine it will be a custom job. Not seen any off the shelf stuff. Make some enquiries - might not be as bad as you think.

As been said ........tons of aftermarket re-trimmers about .........see this for inspiration .....https://www.r32oc.com/topic/169673-full-interior-retrim/

It’s entirely doable and functional compared to plastics. For instance my previous XF had leather dash top and face, door cards to glass level and visors. My current F Type and Evoque are the same except not on the visors.
Aftermarket trimmer will do it all for you. Not as expensive as you’d imagine, but relative to the value of the car, a lot of money..
Maintenance is easier than a plastic dash that I always found collected grime in the pattern..

Carlex did quite a nice job with this one, so should be easily possible

like the look of the seats, I find the OEM ones a bit lacking in support.

If they're Recaro Sportster CS seats (also known as BMW Performance seats), then you're looking at over £1k each for the basic seat, and £2k+ each for genuine BMW ones (heated/electric).

Then of course you've just got to get them retrimmed to your liking.
