Cabin luggage (women's ...)

As both my children are at Uni now and I travel a lot, Mrs PVR is now joining me on some of the trips.

Cabin luggage now needs to be sorted really but would like something that is nice, i.e. Red coloured, and strong (hate the wobbly handles) and have wheels of course.

Don't want to spend a fortune on it though as when I look at my stuff, it took about 3 flights to start looking yuck.

Any thoughts re decent stuff? Not sure on a budget as such.

Hmm yes, lovely at £290 :o

It massively hardwearing though. I have the pull a long, extendable shoulder bag and matching handbag. I thought it was quite reasonable. Its quite cheap as compared with some other brands.

Whatever you do DO NOT buy Mandarina duck. Rubbish stuff falls apart and their customer complaints service is not helpful.

+1, my best friend has a Mandarina Duck laptop bag. Useless expensive tat.

Hit one of the Samsonite outlet stores. They do colours, although I have the anonymous black number of course...

Stores???? You mean, go out - walk into some people invested place instead of doing a www shopping? :o

If you want a bargain. The one in Swindon outlet is less than half price at times...

Anyway, Samsonite stuff is bulletproof and has a long warranty, my cabin bag is used regularly and has outlived several other bags

I bought a case in a Samsonite outlet in the states in Septemeber, went to the Swindon outlet a week after I returned to get some final bits of clothing for new job - had a look out of curiosity, suitcase was 'on offer' in Swindon and yet was over 50% more than what I paid lol

Think I need to move abroad...

Samsonite on eBay. I've just paid less than 1/2 the full retail price for 1st grade quality. Very happy.

And lasts and lasts. I'm still using samsonite cases I purchased in Selfridges more than 10 years ago, and they look no worse now than they did after their 3rd trip abroad...!?!
