Yet neither of us are any closer to getting one...
I'd love a 430 but don't think it will be available for 40k for a few more years yet
They need to release another baby super at to bring the prices down a bit

yeah it was manual and the gears were sooo stiff to engage. I came down the straight where the bridge used to be towards the chicane and I couldnt downshift as the lever seemed to get stuck in the gate. I ended up using a lot of brake force and coasted round in neutral...felt like a right learner driver. I'm sure if I'd had a few more laps and was allowed by myself I'd have been ok. My favourite bit was the passenger ride with the nutcase in an elise. He wrung every last ounce out of it poor thing!
 
I drove a 360 at Rockingham, straight after driving a 911 turbo (no idea what generation). The 911 felt dead and boring -probably had all the electronics switched on - the 360 felt like a go-kart as Woots says. I loved it, felt deliciously squirmy, though it had flappy paddles and I kept going for a gear stick for the first two laps :roll:

And the noise. Oh my :wub:

@Stuart - how long does 'oooh, shiny' normally last ?
 
I think u drove a did 360 but they are high milers so it's likely they won't all drive like they should...
I found the Elise ride a bit boring, well not boring but not scary. But prob cos it didn't feel much faster than my 2.0 aka blueflash :poke:

Yeah the Elise wasnt fast as the circuit is too wide to feel speed, but it was just that you got the impression he was flogging a fiat panda. I cant imagine those cars can last too long the way they are driven. After me there were apparantly 63 other thrill seekers waiting in the queue. My driver was a historic series racer who was a real good laugh who loved doing it :rofl:

2 years is normal, unless I find myself with spare money and a shiny car in front of me :D

I said #69 was a keeper, then IMmie appeared. I'm saying IMmie is a keeper, but I'm honest with myself. A Ferrari would absolutely give me a shiny moment, but I need to pay off the house first. (And helping out with uni costs etc)
