Any thoughts please.
I have a 2007 Z4 standard cd player no auto changer. However it refuses to take cds if I try to slide one in just tells me there is no cd
But it is quite happy to eject the cd I tried to put in. Do I get an auto changer, or am I doing something really stupid ?
I'm not so keen on taking to to a dealer, probably charge me more than the cars worth ! I live in London so maybe there is a place I can take it. If anyone knows would be most appreciated
Cheers

ive got one the same - i got it off Marlon on here - i dont really care tbh as i never listen to CD's being a 2007 model your car SHOULD have an AUX in under the dash near the gearstick, however if you really do like listening to CD's a replacement headunit is around 50-70 quid on ebay

Ha - I had fun and games with that CD player, it started failing to play one or two CDs then started refusing to play any, unlike yours it would accept the CD and eject it but refused to play it :headbang:
Best thing I did was to swap it out for Jamie's JVC

Maybe it was the type of music you were force feeding it? :P

Trickiest bit is removing the facia - the retaining clips are in the vents. There are two that need to be accessed through the top vet slots. Jamie showed me how to release them using a rounded ended dining knife - the release clips need to be prized downwards.
