That was PhilDZ4.

Seems to be that on the forum, race and religion are the subjects over which people leave. Is Scottish a race or a religion though I wonder? 8)[/quote]

definately could do with more nationality bashing :D  . Their's enough Froggy members here to give les Rosebeef trouble :poke: :P

'Scottish' is an enlightened and higher state of being. You don't know it, but irrespective of how rich you are, you are ALL poorer than the Scots :D

I don't really understand why people get so upset on a forum... There are worse things in life than having a heated debate on politics, religion, guns... Forgive and forget: we all have our own opinions, thank God. Even if you express them too hard or seem to hurt the other party, it's still no reason to get upset. Try to be the bigger person...

As I said: that is my personal opinion. If this offends anyone, than that's because he/she has another opinion. It does not mean I don't respect that other opinion.

lol, am I making any sense at all here...?

If that is how you feel I'm leaving

That's the other issue with forums and being plain text, how somebody reads something is not necessarily how it was meant

You need to get a grip if something somebody writes bothers you

Stick and stones and all that

Exactly what I meant... The other day, one of our contracters (renovating the house) told me he would be a little later the next day as he had an appointment at the hospital. I asked him whether it was anything serious and he said: "cancer". 2 weeks ago, my beloved dog (see avatar) got hit by a car due to a stupid mistake made by the gardener. We really loved that dog.

Those are the kind of things that really matter.

Bradders is right - there has been a definite shift towards non-Zed topics in the last 12 months or so. I put it down to the fact that a lot of the longer standing members have owned their Zed's for a considerable amount of time now and most topics about mods/how to's/problems have been covered several times. There doesn't seem much appetite to mod the E89 so far either. All of which means the void gets filled with current affairs/jokes etc.

It's not necessarily a bad thing per se. Just look at it as evolution. When the forum started you had to part with around £20k just to get a used Zed and now they are as little as £5.5k so the demographic and age profile of contributors is bound to broaden.

I would agree with that,OG....well said.
Personally i still enjoy the forum as much as always, but do miss a few ppl that have left/dont post anymore, but still the best forum on the net :D

I've met Nosa a couple of times, a top bloke. Shame someone has got under his skin but sh*t happens. To be honest, the quality of general posts on this forum is on the decline IMHO. Trying to find tasty car stuff in amongst all the Facebook style chit chat is getting harder and harder. There are still some rewarding posters I enjoy following but a lot of the really knowledgeable posters seem to be contributing less and less. :(

X2,Bradders,on all the above...have met alot of great ppl thru this forum, and as said before some ex-contributors are sadly missed, but thankfully new ones join to contribute/so all good.

On that note, where is Adamski these days??

Yeah that him. So why did his account disappear entirely?

I guess the family of Jacintha Saldanha would disagree...

Just to let you guys know, I'm with Nosa at the moment having a few drinks. Happy to say he's ok - just had enough of the forum.

In answer to your questions: his account has been deleted (due to the number of PMs he was getting) and he doesn't have another account.

In Nosa's words - people move on and he wishes you all the best and happy new year.

This is good to know

Next year i intended to try and do 1 of the runs up with you guys, would be nice if he still does them too

I think it says a lot about the forum that a member's departure causes so much reflective debate.

There's a very positive vibe on the forum which isn't found on many car sites, many of which seem to have quite a high A-hole quotient. Having moved to the Zed from years of running and building classics I joined mostly for the technical support (VANOS, OBD, MAFF etc :scratchhead: ) but found lots of other stuff useful, funny or interesting.

I'm with a number of other forums related to my cars, but this is the only one I drop in to 'socially' 8)
