my first reaction was Who?
then i thought it was the scoop guy, it wasn't, so i'm back to who? again

he's went back and edited all his posts to one letter replies, which is slightly insane
who has that much time, i'd assume most of the posts were generic and not exactly going to contain secrets/revelations worth removing.

Maybe he used this forum for mi5 communication with secret messages to the government and Jean Claude junker built into his thread replys , his main focus was the " Brexit thread "in or out" to gain a fair unbiased spread of the nations views and votes

Simo also diffused the situation with a explanation whilst holding up his hand & offering you a beer at Zedfest
I can only assume there has been some other trigger
He's a nice chap , met him at the last Turnpike meet

Did he ? Well unfortunately I never saw that post at all. he must have deleted it and posted his goodbye before I ever got to see it.

I've never had any conversations with him at all prior to this, so it does seem to be a dramatic reaction to a single post. I would not like to think it was my reply alone that led him to exit.
However, my point was merely that not being able to attend a 3 day event in the Lake District, should not prevent me from attending an afternoon event on my doorstep.

Perhaps there were other posts that offended him.
- I just tried sending him a message, but it says he doesn't have permission to read PMs. I assume he's blocked them all
