doofus4000, no problem at all. Nasty phone pick taken after I installed a tail tidy and 'better' number plate:

better plate - im with you lol - shes gorgeous, they shouldnt be allowed out of the factory without the tail tidy.

Thanks for posting this, interesting comments you make regarding ride quality, composure etc. I genuinely believe the Z4M would be a far better car if it went down a road with a bit more fluidity.

Not quite new - 3 weeks old with 40 miles on the clock.

Interesting, what was it - a cancelled order?

Congrats on the new car and soon to be bundle of joy. Did the Z4MC get traded in? I'll keep an eye out for you as judging from the top photo you could be close to my house every now and again :D

...managed to convince the missus that with a two door car the doors are bigger, so it'd be easier getting the wee one in and out. No idea how I managed to pull that one off!

 Love that!

Thanks for the nice comments folks, both with respect to the car and the little lad

James_G: Agreed - i always thought the Zed would be quicker point-to-point on real roads if it crashed around a little less. I think a combination of stiff suspension and Stability Control that didn't allow much slip could sometimes lead to 'reigned-in' progress down a bumpy road. All in, I'm really impressed with the M3: as I say it's very composed, even in it's stiffest setting, yet despite being so supple and taking the edge off most bumps it resists roll better than I thought it would and stays remarkably flat when everything's loaded up during cornering.

The BMW garage bought in two cars with high spec for showroom purposes and possible demos. The first was sold and mine was then put in the showroom: managed to pick it up beofre it had been used for any demos

Gee: Yes, the Zed was traded in. Was astounded by how much they offered me for it, although that was obviously down to the fact that they were effectively discounting the M3 heavily since it wasn't quite brand new. Top photo is of it parked outside the girlfriend's mother's house.

Well that is a damn sight more fun per mile than a Volvo estate, nice work keeping the M driving dream alive!
