Bye Bye Scott Hall Hampshire

Has anyone else clocked that Scott Hall Hampshire has changed it's name?

I did a bit of research and it appears its now Partridge BMW.

It's been brought in partnership by Toby Partridge and Steve Soper.

Toby Partrdige, MD from BMW Park Lane and Steve Soper from Soper of Lincoln.

This could be potentially very good news for the south owners as we may finally get a decent dealership. Hopefully Toby and Steve can sort it out to give the same service from park lane (the only BMW UK dealership) and Sopers.

Anyone been there under the new management or had any experiences?

Now that is good news ,
Sopers seem to get good reviews for sales and workshop service as well as their renown parts service

It was a truly dreadful place - I always use Snows in Portsmouth.

Be interesting to see if the new ownership will make some improvements.

Both my BMWs were in Partridges for brake fluid changes on Saturday. The M5 was fine, but when I got in the Z4M, I noticed that the clock symbol on the dash was still showing. I went back in and told the service receptionist, who sent the technician out to the car. According to my wife (who was sitting in the car), he did something with the buttons between the speedo and tachometer - but when I got in the car to drive it, the clock symbol was still there - and the service department had closed by then. Not impressed.

Also : Even though the Z4 was only in for a brake fluid change, they reported 3 things wrong with it. (1) Coil springs (again!) - covered under my extended warranty. (2) Flange cracked between centre and rear box on the exhaust - only repairable by replacing the whole centre section at a cost of £848.40 (anybody know whether I should be able to get this flange welded by an independent?) and (3) one bleed nipple was rounded - cost £65.45 (again, probably get an independent to do this, as the part is only about a fiver).

Only bright light is the 2 x Dealer Principle both have excellent histories especially Soper who's Lincoln Dealership seems the byword in excellence

Funny reading this as I phoned Scothall/Partridge BMW this morning ( Rachel's car has joined the rear spring failure club.)
The bloke in the parts department was not friendly and refuse to go any further than requesting a chassis number before he looked for anything. As i am at work 100 miles from the car and documents that was not going to happen. He was totally uninterested in helping me.

Phoned Snows and talked to a very helpful happy man who has ordered the springs so i can collect tonight and he did not even want any money up front. Result, what a difference in attitude.

As we live 14 miles from both dealers I know who will always get our patronage.

Always a big  for Snows - never had bad service from them - Nick in their service department goes beyond the extra mile frequently to keep my custom

It's chaos at the moment, Scothall killed the phone lines so they are using CCTV phone line. They are waiting for proper Internet so everything is going slowly. Scothalls got on wrong side of BMW and didn't have their license extended hence sale.

Snows in portsmouth were shocking for me.

An M3 I had cracked a flange on rear box, replaced under warranty.

I am going to give mine an oil change (Not needed on the schedule but the car has never been over 8k without oil change so might as well keep it up), and was going to try these guys as they are my local branch, but on second thoughts now, I didn't think I will!

Sopers did the last one when i purchased it, but might take it to Park Lane (Battersea or the other one) as I am in London alot and could take it up there one day. I believe they are good with M cars, or so PH reports! I also saw some dealers in North London doing a service for I think less than £150, so thought that might be worth a go!
