I've never been precious about my wash regime. The two bucket method has never figured in my plans on a Saturday. Anyway I went to the arc automated place round the corner from work and in my ignorance didn't know it dragged your car through! Upshot is that the front offside rim has a 12 inch long length with no paint :( But I'm testing the water for selling my car as well so its back to being conservative with wheel colour. So silver or gloss black will be sprayed up in the next couple weeks..... Unless of course I decide I don't really want to sell and prefer the unusual look by prepping and spraying the red rim again :)
 
Just realised there was no point to the last post. I meant to serve this an additional warning to not use auto washers :oops:
 
i don't suffer the same OCD as other forumites here about there car washing / detailing routines, but never have I even considered taking my Zed through on of those Automated car washes, more out of fear of what it would to the roof than anything else.

hope the wheels come well and good luck with sale if you decide to go through with, thinking of getting a propper engine :poke: or a complete change.
 
The roof held up perfectly, but this machine doewnt have roof rollers, if it does I never noticed! As for the change I'm quite tempted by either a 330 ci msport or 530 sport. So yeah,
