Hi Guys this is following on from Marcos original bulk buy for the Cabrio Shield Soft Top Cover/Protector.
As Cabrio Shield were not willing to "play ball" on bulk buy discounts Marco approached "buzztopz" who were happy to offer forum members a 5% discount (great job Marco thanks for all your time and effort on this) I decided to go with the " buzztopz" option as did some of the other guys so I thought I would just share with you my findings.
Firstly dealing with buzztopz was so easy one e-mail - paypall invoice - job done, the top arrived just three days later by courier.
On first opening it was obvious it was made of high quality material as it is quite weighty ! and has a great thick quality feel to it.
On putting it on the car - first impression was it was a little baggy and seemed too big however with a bit of moving around it fit much better - but still not a tight fit.
I put the cover on the car whilst it was dry but the weather soon changed to a very windy very very wet night ! I kept a check on the cover as the weather got much worse.
The cover stayed pretty much in place despite the severe winds - The magnets kept the cover fastened well to the body although I did find that where it meets the bonnet it had moved back a little into the tray where the wipers sit. The next day as the weather brightened the cover "still on the car" dried in no time at all and was then taken off to store.
In summary the cover is great !! did exactly what it is designed to do the Velcro fastenings around the mirrors are good and sturdy as is the stitching and general manufacturing quality. I consider it to be well worth the cost ! I was a little concerned at the magnetic strips around the edge as they appear to be covered with some plastic vinyl coating and not material as I had expected, however they do their job and do not appear to be abrasive.
