hi, i have posted on here before about buying a bmw, was after a z4 3.0si, but insurance has changed a lot since then and i can afford either an m3/ z4m now

im torn between getting a z4m roadster or an m3 convertible. the z4m is winning at the moment lol

can someone show me a picture of the z4m roadster roof from inside the car please?

also, how does the hill start assist work?

and whats the difference between a z4m and an m3? how they perform differently/comfort/extras etc

thanks :)

Biggest difference between E46 M3 vert and a Z4MR are two extra seats :)

I think the M3 with auto box makes sense if you want something a little more practical and less hard core. Z4M is a little faster and has a lot more attitude. Having said that the Z4M makes a good motorway cruiser with 32 mpg and nice comfy seats.

Nice choice to have though

Having had both, unless I found myself in the position of really needing the extra seats, I would pick the Z4M over the M3.

Both are awesome cars, but the Z4M just feels that bit more special to me. Maybe that's because there are fewer of them perhaps.

Hill start on the Z4 works by holding the brakes on for a few seconds after you release the pedal to stop you rolling backwards.

Hill start only work with car in gear and clutch depressed as well.

cool cheers for your opinions. i just realised the z4m has that stupid bastard tax of £475 a year!

still anyone have pics of the inteior of the roof please

I can get you a picture of mine inside if you like.
Also might have to put it up for sale soon as am getting a place of my own :(

Did try but as its dark now the roof is coming out grey and a crappy on my iPhone.
Will try and get some in the light for you tomorrow

I've got both in Manual form. The Z4 is noticeably quicker and more nimble. The M3 feels more luxurious. The Z4 is better on fuel. M3 almost half the price in TAX so probably counter acts the fuel saving. M3 easier to get hold of aftermarket parts both new and used. Z4 more exclusive. Anyone who doesn't know cars will call you a hairdresser in the Z though.

Cool, i still 50/50 but can see it being an m3.
My mate said its a hairdressers car, i simply said to him, your 24 no licence no car and you'l probably end up getting a fiesta, your opinions void haha

Does anyone know if you can put the roof down on an m3 via the key like the z4?

Have you driven both yet?

Forget what the hairdressers, mates & wannabeez have to say, go drive both toyz & make your own mind up afterwards

As others have said the Z is a more hard arse and quicker car, despite what Fiesta drivers might think. Unless you realy need the back seats I would go for the Z any day, it's much more special.

GO DRIVE THEM BOTH!!!! :driving:
