Buying Z4 2006-2009.. whats the difference in years?

Hello all!! :)

So I have decided to buy a Z4!! .. My heart was originally set on a Figaro, but after a few test drives i realised my legs were just a little too long!! so after some hard thought im opting for the Z4...

I actually know nothing about cars but know what i like. I have looked at a few Z4s for sell and have decided to go for 2006-2009 model, but what is the difference between the years minus a few thousand pounds.. i mean could i get an 2006 2.0, or will i be kicking my self in a years time.

I have the money for the 09, but if theres no difference except the year, then id prefer to invest the extra dollar, dollar! into something else..

please help!!! :thumbsup:

Mine is pre 2006, but I'm sure you'll get the information you're looking for.

Whichever year you go for, make sure you get a roadster :thumbsup:
 
Mine is 2003, 53 plate

IN 2006, they got a facelift - different front/rear bumpers, revised light clusters front and rear (the front ones lost the orange indicators in favour of clear ones, the rear changed to LED I think)

Also, the 'facelift' models had better sound deadening in the doors, had revised 3.0 and 2.5 engines (a bit more power, better economy).

There were a few other changes to the 2006-08 models, but not aware of any changes after the facelift

I know in 2007, aux-in was made standard. I can't help other than that though.
 
ok so if i went for 2006-2009, whether i pick 06, 07, 08, 09 theres really not much difference, in the car for that model?
 
Make sure u get a 2.5 or 3.0, the straight six engines are real peaches.

Know some prefer the facelift mods, but I'm a real fan of the retro round rear lights... at night they really stand out, the facelifts look like tiny eyelids at night in comparison

In any event... provided u get one that's been looked after will hv endless joy n smiles
 
Visually I think the difference is if you prefer round fog-lights (pre-2006)
