I believe BMW said there was not going an M in the outgoing version, but it came. And i believe a coupe (after thought :poke: ) was never on the cards either, but it came :P

So based on that, there WILL be an M :D

If a fully equipped "S-Drive 3.5" costs $70k, how much would an M cost? I can't see spending that much.

In US you have really cheap cars... Fully loaded sDrive35i in EU costs 80.000 EUR which is 112.000 USD.

Probably there won't be a Coupe given that E89 has a hard top and E86 had very poor sales figures. I'm quite sure there will be an M version.. But I'm not sure how much heavier it will be. Ah, sure it will have another silly turbo engine.. wait a minute, is that an X5 M? Oh no it's E89 M...

I want a light weight, high revv sports car... Oh, I already have! :driving: Bye bye E89

I'm pretty sure there will be an M version despite what BMW says. They will repeat themselves like they did with the E85/86.

And I'm sure they'll squeeze in an engine that will satisfy the "0-60 chasers" type. It'll just be a bloody fast cruiser, and not much of a nimble Sports Car.

The only way I'll even remotely consider the E89 is if they DO come out with a dedicated Coupé.

The coupe will be heavier! How cna they ever lighten up this car, short of giving back the rag top!

Well Coupe will have a metal roof, so is the convertible hard top... And you won't have the hard top motor.. So I won't be surprised if Coupe version comes out lighter.
