Buying guide for e89 2014 2.8i?

Hey guys, just wondering if there is a buying guide on here somewhere with stuff (aside from the chain guide) to look out for.
looking at the last version of this, i believe its 2014 and onwards? (2015 and onwards have the chain guide changed already i believe?) but this one iam looking at doesnt.

any quick tips?
are these easy to live with?

I have a 28i. As well as the timing chain issues check for smoke on start up which could be a turbo issue or the turbo oil feed pipe, either way requiring turbo removal. Parts not too bad but labour will be. Also check for wet carpets in the footwells which could be aircon drain blocked. Also check for water in the boot around the battery.
