Buying an E85

Now in a position to buy my first E85.
Ideally want a 2.5 or 3.0 and prepared to go upto the 8K mark.
Any models or engines to avoid? And is there a buyers guide that is commonly regarded as being the best one?

Thanks

Welcome

If avoiding any, then it's the 2.0 4 cylinder.

Have a read of these as a buyer's guide...

Budget for another £2k over the next year to get everything fixed that needs fixed.

.. & budget for an extra £4K if you’re going to ask for more advice here

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Good luck finding the right Z4.

OY!!! Thats size discrimination. :poke:

Check on here. Some cracking cars have gone up for sale. I think 8k is more than enough.

3.0i M54 all the way in my opinion, basically the same running costs as the 2.5 but a bit quicker and sounds better.

Look for-

MSport seats. Preferably electric and heated.
Clean alloys (I'd avoid 108s, they look great but deteriorate like mad)
Roof motor relocation
Xenon lights

Plus obvious things, low mileage, no accidents blah blah.

If someone has gone to the effort of relocating their roof motor, they've probably loved the car. It's those little things that are a giveaway.

Paul.
