Hi all, I want to buy a Z4 in the coming months, been looking online, I have a budget of 10k-10.5k, I'm willing to travel to get one so there's a huge choice. Thinking ideally of the 2.0 or perhaps a 2.5 if I saw a nice one for the right money. My question to the forum is this, would you go for an older Z4 ( 04, 05 plate ) with low milage or a later ( 56-57 plate) with higher milage? I do around 5k miles a year and plan on keeping the car at least 3 years. I'd be really interest in hearing all you thoughts on the question, thanks.

ps.What's the best colour, model, wheels to go for?

:headbang:

Later 56/57 facelifted sport model is the best choice, it'll hold it's value better in the long run. Your low mileage will help bring the higher mile car back in to the norm.

Another vote here for a later model with higher mileage. I've done the same and because I do so few miles it will turn an above average mileage car into a below average one.

If you're a full-on petrol-head speed junky (like Taz x) then yeah, 2.5i minimum - in fact you may as well go for an older 3.0i. My Z is an occasional car for sunny days (like yesterday) and speed doesn't really turn my crank so the 2.0i is plenty sweet enough (for me). My vote is for a later facelift model, any colour but black (simply coz its a pain to keep clean). Mines silver Ti to match my bicycles, it looks stunning polished up - but silver is so very common, if I started over I might've shopped around for the lighter metallic blue colour(?), but they're pretty scarce and some for a 2.0. Have fun test driving as many as you can....... :driving:
