Buying a Z4... Cap Values

Is there a difference in the 3.5i s drive and a 3.5is? I can't get all the different models on the E89.
Because the 3.5i sdrives that are for sale start around £15000 with average mileage.
How much was the top spec E89 when they came out in 2009 ?

So.. With you buying a convertible car in the middle of winter, and you got it cheap doesn't that highlight what I was originally saying?

Well my car at the time was priced lower than most due to the fact the dealer had had it since he start of December and I managed to get a further couple of grand off as they had a 'sale' on and I didn't need to changes cars I wasn't bothered if I bought it or not but they wanted it sold as they were expecting more cars in Feb in the run up to the change of Reg in March. There was only 3 others for sale at the time 6k more for the same or slightly lower spec. The original cost to the guys who bought it 2 years previously was around 56.5k!

I did think you possibly didn't know the difference. Both are sDrives like the rest of the range and the full names are Z4 sDrive35i and Z4 sDrive35is however some people like to put the sDrives behind their 35i when taking about it. Think that's just a mistake and not to make it sound like the other one. The 35i can be had in non m sport and m sport trim, it's also available as manual or auto all be it the DTC and 306bhp. The 35is is 340bhp and uses a different engine to the 35i but the 35is shares it with the 1M coupe. It's also only available as DTC comes with adaptive suspension as standard and 10dbl louder exhaust. The 35i has been around since launch and the 35IS made its way into the range in the first half of 2010.

The 0-62 time of the 35i is 5.2 manual and 5.1 auto and 35is is 4.8 and the prices were £38,145 for non m sport 35i and £41,020 for a 35i m sport whilst the 35is was £43,885. The 35is was seen as a replacement for the ///M of the previous generation

If I saw any car listed at or below cap value and there was nothing wrong with it, I'd buy it in an instant. As above, CAP values are the lowest I'd ever expect a car to sell for privately and you can usually add 20 - 30% on the price for a dealers sale value..

My cars CAP Trade in clean value is £9,175 - £9,775 but if I look at the market, but this equivalent car is advertised at £15k:

Private sale I think mine is worth about £13,500, dealer £14,500
