Buying a 35is (newbie)

Other than my 3.0, the 35is, is the only one that really floats my boat tho!

(I'm an old dinosaur  )

So I went to test drive this http://www.approved.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk...xMjBYMEowNTc1MTM=&btp=1x24-distance_ASC|list/ today, having already agreed a price and put a holding deposit down.

Wow what a lovely car. Its as good as new and amazing spec and options. Also the colour combo I wanted. Also the price I have agreed is right for me. Whats not to like?! My only nagging doubt is that they haven't sold it in a few months of trying. I guess that why I got a good price. I'm going to sleep on it.

i wouldnt worry about the fact that it hasnt sold in a long while.... the price is a bit on the high side and i think that is what prevented most people from even viewing it and hence why they offered you a good deal on it

looks nice, enjoy

Dreamer that's wayyyyy too expensive. Buying Vidges would be better........I'd be paying £28000 for the one you've driven. And 296 alloys.....you'll regret getting them even if they have been modified....

Mine was £25K for a June 11 plate with 28 thousand on the clock ... so maybe £30K given 2 years newer and half miles ?

Yeah I am happy with the price negotiated. Its a bit tricky to compare as there are no other 1 year old cars in the market that I can see to compare against.

From what I had read, the newer 296s are fine. Is this not the case? How can I check if mine are the newer version?

They should be the newer version but to be on the safe side, insist on car going up on a ramp to check the alloys for cracks.....even though they are covered under warranty, that is only subject to a roll out test, so just be safe and be 100% sure

Well I am the proud owner of a new (to me) 35is. Wow what a car. Drove it home last night and to work this morning - happy days.
Pics to follow. I am a happy man!

Well done - you will love it ! They are so rare too :D

The numbers of 35is will be well up on the 224 vehicles registered at the beginning of this year.

Go on Avallon you know you want to, they're nearly giving them away.

Haven't even picked the 28i up yet :)

35is would just be too expensive to run. I'm coming from an Audi A4 TDIe that delivers 50 odd mpg and do a good number of miles...
