Busy first week!

So as the weather was crap this week I decided to sort a couple of small bits out on the Zed, and then today I got to give the car a proper good clean and polish. Last night was the driest it's been here all week so got the top down for the first time since I go it last Sunday and went for a proper drive! Must admit, I quite enjoyed the strange looks I got driving around in the dark with the top down! :D

Anyway, first came the stubby mod. I went with the £5.99 Citroen aerial off ebay and it seems to be working fine to me!

Next present from the postman was my ZHP knob. I really do think this makes a nice difference when driving the car. Highly recommended to anyone thinking of doing it. The old knob came off fairly easily which made me think I may not have been the first person to take it off ...*looks at gannet'

and then a couple of pictures having been washed and polished. Now I just need to get out and drive it!! :D

Didn't notice the neighbours Z3 sitting up the road until I took this one!

...and, looks like Gannet managed to leave his mark on the car. Didn't actually see the remains of an old forum sticker until I was polishing the window rear!

Good pics. My knob came off pretty easy too, when I did my ZHP

Know what you mean about the weather. Tried to get out for a run today, but it started hosing down just after I set off :headbang:

Where did you get the knob...and how much....looks sweet !!

Guilty as charged - I removed the ZHP and sold it here... I have a stubby to sell to...

Actually I left the z4-Forum sticker on... the dealer must've removed it.

Looking great after the TLC you've given it

Thanks all! Think I'm going to play with the Sound Generator tomorrow and see what difference that makes.

Thanks! I got mine from here but I think it probably would have been a couple of quid cheaper from the BMW dealer that everyone seems to recommend. Sopers is it?

Ordered at lunchtime and came delivered in a sealed BMW parts box the next day.

Love those alloys

Me too. I wanted 108's when I started looking for a Zed but definitely happy with these, and they're in great condition too

Regretting it yet?

Glad you like them :D Car originally came with 108's but I'm afraid to say I kerbed them while getting used to the long nose and they corroded pretty damn quick. Faced with the prospect of continual upkeep of refurbed 108's I opted for the 203's which offer a similar style. Never even went near a kerb with them - you'll see why when you see the receipt :o

Can't say I wouldn't want it back, but happy that it has a nice new owner looking after it :driving:
