Hi Guy’s,

I went for a car with the business speaker upgrade as I couldn’t find one with the professional and thought it should be Ok. After having the car for 5 days now I think I’ve come to the conclusion it's crap. I’ve fiddled and adjusted but just can’t get a sweet sound from it all, or is it just me? :(

My 23i has Loudspeaker System - Business, and I think it is really good. All my previous cars only had standard systems.
 
give a chance for the speakers to open up (it may not have been used much), even the professional system took about 2000 miles worth of listening before i started to notice the sound quality

Absolutely correct, biggest mistake I made was listening to the stealer who said the standard stereo was fine..... If it was fine, why is there two upgrades available. Sorry it wont get any better and the last time I checked there wasn't a BMW retrofit upgrade either.

It is wholly inadequate for listening to music with the top down unless your parked in your garage.
 
Hi guy's, thanks for the feedback. Perhaps the word crap was a little hash but my first beemer had a Harmon Kardon upgrade and that was really nice where as this upgrade just doesn't seem to have any dynamics to the sound, its all a bit flat. Maybe I'm expecting to much!

Hello, I have the hifi professional system in my car, I think it is pretty bad compared to a ( '09 Merc E-class) Harman Kardon or a Lanci Thesis BOSE system (I've never heard better stock system than the Bose in the Thesis). The BMW has 14 seekers and 650 Wats and still not as clear as it should be, and the bass isn't good enough either. I expected much more from the top hifi system in this model. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying its that bad just that I've tested only for an hour maybe I can find better settings or have to wait longer for the speakers to open up.
 
2011 BMW E89 non pro sound system STINKS, my 2009 328i sounded much better. I've taken it to a few places that do upgrades and they want 2500-4K to put a amp and some better speakers in. Lesson learned, next BMW i buy im making SURE it has the premium system! :fuelfire: :headbang:
