Hi, newbie here. I recently purchased a lovely 2006 E86 with 78k.

I've done a vin check and it says it has the following
609 - Navigation System Professional
633 - Prep.mob. Ph. Business Bluet.interf.
692 - Cd Changer I-bus Preparation

This is the 6 speaker system with pop up screen, split screen sat nav with nav cd in the rear cubby and Bluetooth phone connectivity.

What options do I have for adding Bluetooth streaming, Dab+ or Aux etc?

I have my phone hooked up via Bluetooth for calls already but wondering what home DIY options I have for adding further connectivity?

I've no idea but hopefully this may help:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=150107&hilit=bluetooth

I've already read that thread. Never found one that relates to business nav with single cd in the back for maps.

Would there be a connector for CD changer as well? Is the 3+6 connector behind the head unit with extra knob for controlling the screen the same?

AFAIK they all have the CD changer preparation regardless of whether they have Nav or not.

I haven't done it so don't know, but I'm sure I have read people have used the CD changer connection on the back of the head unit. Hopefully someone who actually knows will chip in!

I have an E86 with the same options as you.

I fitted the Blue music thingy a couple of weeks ago, and yes the plugs were there - I removed the carpet from the boot and it was taped inside the centre console. Black tape, black connector, black panel - I recommend a torch !

Seems to work fine.

My phone struggles to connect to the unit- sometime will connect, sometimes not. So far I've never been able to hear the person on the call... :headbang:

As mentioned, you have the connections to add a CD changer. Instead of CD changer you can add a BT streaming device. You can also add AUX directly into the back of the head unit.

DAB you are going struggle with as there are no intergrated solutions I'm aware of.

Thanks, any other recommendations on the best Bluetooth streamer if the bluemusic one is not great?

I have a BlueBus on order so cant really comment personally until I have tried it, however, not seen a bad word said about it on lots of different forums. It is more of a premium price though.
