Business CD and CD-text

Hi guys,

Can someone tell me if the standard Business CD in my 2004 Z4 will display CD-text (i.e. track names)? At the moment it only shows the track number.

Thanks

Not track names, but will display iPod songs if you have an Icelink or Intravee unit.

Thanks. That's quite poor - I would have expected it to display the song title.

I'm looking into options for an iPod unit (for a nano). I don't have a CD changer or sat nav so what's the minimum I need to connect my iPod? I want to view the track names like you mentioned, and be able to control it from the buttons on the in-car system.

I didn't find the IceLink site very clear at distinguishing what it best for my setup, and the Intravee site says the kit is untested with the Business CD setup (it looks very sat-nav focussed):

http://www.intravention.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=13&Itemid=32#BMW%20E83%20-%20X3%202004%20On%20and%20BMW%20E85%20-%20Z4%202003%20On

I have Intravee now and it works very good with the satnav, not too sure about business radio. I did test it with that, and it was a bit clumsy.

The Icelink Plus I had on my 2004 Z4 was fine, foto shows what it displays (scrolling if title is too long).

Thanks for that. It's difficult to get consistent info because people have such different setups - the fundamental difference being sat nav or not.

I'll start a seperate thread to get info for non-sat nav folk who want iPod connectivity.

I've heard the BMW iPod kick leaves you wanting.
