Bushes

Just had them replaced today, going to pick the car up at 1, costing £170! does this seem about right?? will this also get rid of the wobbly feeling to the steering?

he did say there where some cheaper ones but i told to stick the good ones on, actually feel nicer, steering feels much better

Are you on run-flats? My steering feels 'twitchy' on some surfaces and wondered if it may be the bushes or possibly tyres.

That might be a bit of a sweeping statement? The OEM bush is a well engineered part consisting of various grades of material and are oil filled to suppress NVH. They provide a good compromise between stiffness and suspension function and would cost more to engineer than a poly bush.

Poly bushes are great for ultimate 'feel' but that includes feeling more bumps and having more suspension reactions from the road surface. Nobody should jump in to poly bushes without knowing the pro's and con's. They work well but can make a car fidgety, rougher and induce stresses elsewhere in the suspension.

It depends what you want, I've prepped club rally cars with them in the past and would have them if I tracked my car but probably not for road work, particularly with the state of the roads in my area :cry:
