Burton on Trent

I'm about 25 miles away. I know bits about the areas south and west of Burton, e.g. Lichfield. So it depends what you're asking.

I'm 16 miles north east (ish) along & just off the A38 past Derby if any help?

Hold on :? , he be a sniper :guns: :(. Perhaps he's looking to take us all out

I’m near Loughborough, around 30 miles or 40 minutes away to the east of Burton.

Any good? :)

I'm at Stafford, if you like the smell of yeast its the place to be :)

Tim.

Just for clarification it's Burton that stinks :)

Tim.

Yes Tim, I thought so, but it could have been taken either way :)

I was over in Burton a few months ago, visiting a great guitar shop called Guitar Superstore. Huge stock, friendly staff, I ended up with a new PRS which is now my pride and joy  . How's things with your Rickenbacker Tim?

Hi John, yes I know the place well, I bought a Fender Amp from there a while back but sold it to fund the Vox AC30. Getting on well with the Rickenbacker thanks, it's definitely a rhythm guitar rather than for riffs as the neck is quite narrow. I've got an eye on a Gretch Streamliner or maybe a Telecaster as they sound good through the Vox :)

Good call on the PRS

Tim.

Does anyone on here live near or in Burton on trent??

Looking to move and need advice

I'm circa 4 or 5 miles, from the town centre - far enough away from the aromas of the Marmite; Beer & other manufacturing sites :)

PM'd you ibeasniper

Glad to hear it  .
As with most parts of the country there are bad areas & good areas, it'll be difficult for anyone on here to recommend one area over another tbh as everyone will have a different opinion. It really depends on what you're looking for :? . I've never lived in BoT but I do like the town, it has a nice feel to it imho. Yep, the smell from the brewery can be quite overpowering at times & that's just when you drive past on the A38  . Something you'd get used to if you lived with it day in, day out I guess. There are some lovely villages nearby if thats more your style. Is it work that's driving you to the area?
