Burnouts or drifting.......

How many of you do it. Just cause you can. Even with new tires on?

I'll admit I free range it with the sport button on and with DSC off. It just brings a smile to my face every time.
Since I spent a butt load repairing this car to the point I can, why the hell not?

DO you?

Just a tad Sir.Did all my tyre smoking crossed up ,throw her in at any speed learning many years ago.Now I,m getting on a bit,I go faster, smoothly with the reduced traction control ,still loving this car two years in.This last week did a Scotland G.T.(2,500 miles)On the North western corner spent about 40 miles with a Lotus Elise hanging on to my shirt tails at shall we say a brisk pace?Great Fun :D

If I'm out in the zed and it starts raining I can't help but try and get the back end out. Keeps me on my toes pushing it :)

Was there a TVR in your group at all?

Burnouts are spontaneous and sometimes unmeant with the mid rpm grunt of my ESS twinscrew compressor

Burnouts doughnuts they just happen with RWD cars surly??? If not buy an Audi

National doughnut day either last year or the one before.

Mildly sideways (I can't really drive) but never a standing burnout on the brakes. Just seems wrong!

This.
Normally happens when taking a sharp corner and a little (or a lot) wet. And you're pushing a little more just to get that back end out :D

Partial to a little slide every so often! I only really do it in the wet however to minimise damage and stress on the tyres and running gear :driving:

Got my car three weeks ago and in the wet the back end steps out far too easily. Terrible budgets on the back but they're brand new so I'm going to use them for a while to get used to the car at a lower level as it were. Surprisingly grippy in the dry though. Think I can feel a track day coming on to get through them! And I'd not really thought of doing a full on burnout. Never done one before so I guess it'd be rude ont to give it a go with these tyres.

No group, just the young lady and me,but we did see a group of Lamborghini's, and Lotus 7s popular up there,no surprise as the roads are awesome. There was a nice clean TVR in BRG about ,further south. Can't wait till next time.Car needed a whole morning to clean, and just a headlamp bulb the only fault

I think that was Peter's TVR you saw, i was chatting to him about it yesterday. He has just had the engine re-built and it was his first real trip out in it since.

Being a fairly new owner, so far I have only really pushed it a few times trying to find its limits, and I am yet to find them, I will be hitting an empty car park soon with DSC off and a lead boot on my right foot just for the fun of it.

Not very often. :( But I do enjoy finishing off an old set of tyres properly before replacing them. :D
