is there anything you can do to stop bunny hopping? doesnt do it much but wondered what you can do as i know its common with the z4m

ta!

The surging when driving with a cold engine? If so it improved considerably after replacing the throttle position sensors and seems smoother on tesco 99 fuel compared to shell in this regard.

its when you accelerate from stand still and it jerks back and forward if you have lifted the clutch up too fast if that makes sense :-)

Try giving it a few more revs taking off and change to second at 4k. The notch on the gearbox into second seems to smooth out at higher rpm and clutch delay valve make 0-20 a pain in the M. Lingering on lifting the clutch can cause the deceleration lurch.

You'll just have to get used its clutch...it's not very forgiving. I was getting crazy "bunny hops" when I first got the ///M, but haven't done it since. Well, may be once or twice if I wasn't paying attention

Yeah its not as bad now, when the garage took me out in it when I bought it he bunny hopped for about a mile lol

bit of a silly question but... you have got the sport button switched off havent you??

that thing is a pain in the arse for trying to set off in first from the lights with it on. I've been for a good drive in mine a few times and come to a set of lights and forgot the button is on and had a little kangaroo hop over the line when setting off haha

It makes the throttle overly sensitive IMO. I feel no need for it even when on a hoon. It's not like it gives you more power.

I did like it on my old 3.0 though as it increased the steering weight. The Ms steering is heavy enough as it is.

the throttle fly by wire makes it tricky sometimes , worse if you come off the gas and go back on slightly , yes, sport mode worse, cdv definately a massive all round improvement ,.... Do it soon .

yes confirm a higher rev change helps and a slightly two stage shift helps too , another alternative if you dont need to kick a saxo's arse is to only use first to litteratly get moving and then a gentle two stage shift to second , once in second .... look out !!!

Interesting. I thought the CDV was only fitted for the North American market. Definitely a pain in the ass and worth canning.
