Bumper scratched down to black plastic.

Some **** needs some lessons on parallel parking as they have managed to scratch the rear OS bumper of my Z4M.

There is essentially an area maybe 2cm x 0.5cm that is scratched down to what looks like black plastic (its dark outside).

What is the best way to sort this and any ideas how much it is going to cost?

As cheap as that? I have never seen anything done for less than £150 of any decent quality.

Dealer will be around the £250 mark.

I had two big scratchs repaired on my car last month and 4 months ago, I used chips away (same guy each time)

first scratch was 6 inchs long and 3 inchs wide - cost £90

second scratch was a bit smaller and cost £60

Both jobs were excellent with no discolouration, let alone tell it had been repaired

More than happy to share his contact details in anyone lives in my area

chips away or alike company - cost i guess from £30 to £50 depending on your location
+1 used them for an indented chip caused by a lorry throwing a half brick. Can't tell that there was anything there now, cost £30 for an area about 2 inch square

Wow that is cheap!

Very cheap, but so depends on the franchise you happen to get to come to you.

Hmmm..that's potentially better than I thought. Do they come to you and take a view on whether it can be done, or just crack on and you get whatever result transpires?

They come and quote and do the work there - need power and water supply - will take between 1 - 2 hours
