Bumper Repair Advice

Have managed to source an oem z4m front bumper but it's not in great condition. Most of the damage is minor and the body shop should be able to repair it. There is one bit of damaged I'm concerned about.

The very corner edge is missing completely. Is this something they would be able to mould and fix themselves or will I need to find a corner of a donor bumper to weld on?

It would need to be a competent body shop to replicate that! :o

Even bonding a new section that is on the extreme corner the joint will always be weak, IMHO

You could make a mould from the opposite side and build it up with fibreglass and filler etc.
certainly I time consuming job to get it perfect for painting.
It’s look like a lot of the tabs are broken too along the edges.
If you’ve got the time and fairly handy you don’t have anything to loose

Would it not be easier to source a corner from another bumper and try to plastic weld it on?

I can’t imagine finding another damaged Z4M bumper being an easy task.

I might be mistaken but isn't that particular piece identical on all z4 bumpers?

I’m not sure it is. Certainly the facelift bumper has a reflector in the corner

The pre facelift bumper looks identical, in fact the whole top half of that bumper looks the same.

What I'm trying to figure out is either plastic welding just the corner back on is possible

Yes that it very much possible

Honestly, I’d rather buy a less than perfect fitting but new aftermarket bumper than have to deal with repairing what appears to be the portion that clips into fender.
