Bumper panel gaps

Apologies if covered before but my 35iS has this humongous panel gap on each side.

I understand the mounting is plastic, clips are all present.

My trusted bodyshop says unfortunately they're all like that. Has anyone been able to make it look any better?

There are some screws at each corner where the plastic clips are..plus screws across the engine bay, underneath the bumper and in the wheel wells.. its a two person job to loosen off and adjust and then re-tighten..simples
 
A gap on mine Zet is (and always have been) even much worse/ugly.
But I do NOT care at all, as it does NOT affluence how amaizingly my Zet drives.

The passenger side gap on mine was a little larger than the driver side. I feared I might have bought a car with an unknown accident, but the history was clean and the mileage very low (21,500). I decided to remove the entire front cover to remove and repaint the slightly faded lower grills and realized the fit of the cover is determined by how tight you hold it as you tighten the fasteners.

It wasn't hard to get it all perfect, but it does take time and effort. I should have re-painted the reinforcement bar while I was in there........
 
My car right side broke so keep meaning to make my own.
The original seems not to have much adjustment, but if i grab bottom of bumper and pull up closes the gap.
Wondering with age the bumper start to sag.
 
It’s best done with a wera flexible shaft nut runner - 8mm i think.

Ideally you need three people.
Two to hold the bumper either side and one to loosen the four nuts, then have them "offer up the bumper to the desired position and tighten them.

They are towards the headlight if you peel back the arch liner.
