Bumper guidance

Last year I damaged the front edge of my front bumper by catching it on a raised curb, fixed at the time but ideally I would like to replace the bumper.

I have been lucky enough to have been given a replacement bumper (wrong colour but thats easy to fix) in good condition but without the cutouts for headlight washers. So the question is do I just have to get those cut out of the bumper, there appears to be some guidance from moulding on the bumper, and all is OK or are there any fundamental differences in the two bumpers. There are two part numbers shown on RealOEM.

Help and guidance appreciated

Does it have the brackets for the headlight washers too?

As the cut out are pretty easy.. but without the brackets there would be no way to attaching the washer assembly.

From when i removed mine they looks like they are detachable but fixed to the bumper itself so not sure if you could remove them and reattach even.

From memory the mounting points for the washers are in place. This was the case when ages back I replaced a pre-facelift with facelift bumper.
Nervy time though cutting them out and slowly enlarging until the exact dimensions were achieved :)

Naturally OEM has 2 part numbers for with and without holes pre-cut

Thanks for the help

Strange your washer bracket has a screw hole there.. presumably it looks screwed and clipped in place.. dont think my prefacelift or M had a screw there....

off topic a little know!

The washer cap is a good 3-4mm bigger than the hole.. so even if you cut the washer hole a little messy if you file it smooth it wont be noticeable.

Nice to meet you and Christine on Saturday Norman. Looks like you're having a bit of fun with this washer issue
Cheers
